Job Details

The role:
  • Prepare and lead individual, trust, estate, and business tax returns; assist with planning
  • Complete initial reviews and prepare complex tax returns
  • Provide leadership and training for junior staff and interns
  • Support tax planning efforts and lead assigned projects
  • Prepare and review compiled financial statements
  • Collaborate with managers and firm leadership in a team environment
  • Use current tax and accounting software for engagements
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Begin identifying areas of specialization
  • Research technical tax issues
  • Support firm business development initiatives
  • Professionally represent the firm at client and community functions
  • Participate in industry niches and civic/professional organizations
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • 3+ years of tax/accounting experience in a CPA firm, with trust, estate, gift, and complex return exposure
  • Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of focus, attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines
  • Experience with ProSystems, QuickBooks, and CCH Engagement
